Havana, October 5, 2019. The Republic of the Union of Myanmar announced this Friday the opening of its diplomatic mission in Cuba, on the occasion of the official visit to the Island of the Minister of the Union for the Office of the State Counsellor and special envoy of the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, HE. Mr. Kyaw Tint Swe.
During the ceremony, the Special Envoy highlighted the positive impact of the establishment of this diplomatic headquarters for the development and strengthening of bilateral relations.
The ceremony was chaired by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Rogelio Sierra Díaz, and was attended by the Director of Asia and Oceania of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Alberto Blanco Silva, and other officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The distinguished visitor was accompanied by the Charge d'Affaires, a.i. of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Cuba, HE. Mr, Kyaw Nyun Oo, among other members of his delegation.
