Role of the members of Cuban Educational Brigade highlighted in X Annual Pedagogical Forum

This morning the Tenth edition of the Annual Pedagogical Forum of the Cuban Education collaborators in Jamaica took place.

Kingston, Jamaica, 28 June 2019. This morning the Tenth edition of the Annual Pedagogical Forum of the Cuban Education collaborators in Jamaica took place. This event, sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information of Jamaica in coordination with the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba, was chaired by Her Excellency Mrs. Inés Fors Fernández, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba; Dr. Nadine Leachman, acting Deputy Director of Education at the Ministry; Ms. Nordia Birthwright-Hill, officer at the Directorate of Education, and Mr. Santo Omar Varona Caballero, MSc, Coordinator of the Cuban Education Brigade. It was also attended by the 69 Cuban teachers of Spanish, Mathematics and Integrated Sciences that make up the Brigade.

Six scientific papers -one for each group of the Brigade- were presented in the Forum by Cuban educators. They showed the main achievements made and experiences accumulated by them during the last year. The most outstanding presentations were awarded diplomas of recognition and all participants were able to enjoy songs, poems and performances by students who excel in learning the Spanish language.

All speakers at the event thanked Cuba for its collaboration in the field of education and highlighted the role played by Cuban educators in the training of new generations.
