The activities scheduled for September 9 at 10:00am are part of celebrations of the 57th anniversary of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) and will mark the beginning of a series of events focused on denouncing the U.S. blockade, within the country and beyond.
CDR members, youth, children, sports fans, and the population in general will participate, as a popular condemnation of this hostile policy which has caused the Cuban people so much damage.
To mobilize for the events are the forces of many organizations, including the CDR; the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education, and Recreation (Inder); the Marabana-Maracuba project; the Young Communists League; the Federation of Secondary School Students; the José Martí Pioneers Organization; the Federation of University Students; the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples; and is sponsored by the ministries of Foreign Relations; Culture; Education; and Higher Education.
