Saint David was the Grenadian community that hosted the first solidarity breakfast with Cuba, organized by members of the Citizens for Cuba campaign. The initiative brought together residents and community leaders, who expressed their support for the Cuban people in the face of current challenges resulting from the U.S. blockade.
During the activity, participants emphasized that Caribbean solidarity is an essential principle for confronting common challenges and defending regional sovereignty. Several attendees agreed that it is important to stand with the Cuban people.
This breakfast formed part of the campaign aimed at raising funds to support Cuba against the impact of the blockade. In doing so, it strengthened popular participation and reaffirmed Grenada’s commitment to accompany the Greater of the Antilles in its resistance and in the defense of its national dignity.
