Castries, October 21, 2025 – Saint Lucia's Minister of Youth Development and Sports, Kenson Casimir, MP for Gros Islet, received the presidents of the Cuban and Saint Lucia Chess Federations, Carlos Rivero and Tris-Ann Richards, respectively, at the institution's headquarters.
The minister highlighted Cuban collaboration in the sports sector on the sister Caribbean island and the development of chess with its social impact, thanks to the efforts of the national federation.
For their part, Rivero and Richards presented joint projects in their discipline and reviewed the results achieved so far.
The president of the Cuban Chess Federation is also the leader of the Central American and Caribbean region and commissioner of this sport in our country.
