The screening of the Cuban film "The Last Supper", directed by the filmmaker Tomás Gutiérrez Alea (Titón, 1928-1996) was held on June 21 at the Cinematheque (Cinemateket) in Copenhagen. The movies received a very positive reaction from the public.
In the opening remarks, Cuba's Ambassador to Denmark, Yiliam Gómez Sardiñas, highlighted the validity and importance of the messages that this film transmits, even beyond the historical context in which the plot unfolds, as well as the top level artistic performance.
The screening of this film took place within the framework of the Latin American Film Festival organized by the Cinematheque in Copenhagen. The event was also a tribute to the renowned Cuban filmmaker Titón, who died 20 years ago. Members of the accredited diplomatic corps, political figures, intellectuals, artists and the Danish public in general, among others attended to the Cinematheque. (Embacuba Dinamarca)
