The screening of the film "Yuli": very well received by the Singaporean public.

The film "Yuli" a Spanish production directed by Icíar Bollaín and inspired by the autobiography of renowned Cuban ballet director and dancer Carlos Acosta, was very well received in Singapore as part of the Spanish Film Festival, which was held in collaboration with the Cuban Embassy in the city-state.

 

The audience was surprised and delighted by a video message from Carlos Acosta himself, specially prepared for the occasion. His message offered insight into the feelings and experiences that led the celebrated dancer to write his autobiography. He concluded by referring to his wonderful experience in Singapore when his company visited the country in 2019.

 

It was a special evening, filled with emotion and lessons, where the feeling and pride of being Cuban blossomed. Those present were able to enjoy a film co-starring Carlos Acosta and an excellent cast of Cuban and international actors, filmed in the streets of Havana and other parts of the world.
