Kigali. On August 10, after offering a welcome lunch, Mr. Wellars Gasamagera, Secretary General of the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF), held a bilateral meeting with the Cuban delegation leaded by the member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba José Ángel Portal Miranda.
The Cuban leader presented a gift sent by the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel, as well as a letter from comrade Roberto Morales Ojeda, Secretary of Organization of the Cuban party.
Both delegations ratified the will and decision to strengthen the collaborative relations between both governing parties, endorsed with the signing of an Agreement in May 2024.
The Commissioners of International Relations and Security of the RPF and its Director of International Relations also attended. On the Cuban side, the Cuban Ambassador and the Director of International Relations of the MINSAP joined.
Cuba and Rwanda celebrate 45 years of diplomatic relations in September of this year.
