Victoria, September 25th Maritime Week 2024, the most important maritime transport event in the Indian Ocean region, was inaugurated at the Savoy Hotel in Victoria. Businessmen, politicians, maritime authorities from the region are meeting in Seychelles from September 24th to 26th to exchange experiences, agree on new business, coordinate maritime development programs and promote the development of the region's maritime industries.
The event inaugurated by the minister-designate and minister for fisheries and blue economy, Jean Francois Ferrari, brings together some 250 participants and 30 maritime companies from the Indian Ocean region in Seychelles. Seychelles Minister of Transport Antony Derjacques was also a keynote speaker at the opening ceremony.
The Cuban Embassy in Seychelles was represented by Chargé d'Affaires a.i. Tomás Méndez.
