Victoria, September 25th Maritime Week 2024, the most important maritime transport event in the Indian Ocean region, was inaugurated at the Savoy Hotel in Victoria. Businessmen, politicians, maritime authorities from the region are meeting in Seychelles from September 24th to 26th to exchange experiences, agree on new business, coordinate maritime development programs and promote the development of the region's maritime industries.
Havana, September 18th. The President of Seychelles, H.E. Mr. Wavel Ramkalwan, held a cordial meeting with the Cuban minister of Health, Dr. José Ángel Portal Miranda. During the meeting, they exchanged on the historical cooperation links in the health field between Cuba and Seychelles and the existing potentialities to continue their development.

The Ambassador of Cuba, Martha Hernández Caneiro, visited on Wednesday the Seychelles Tourism Academy, where she had a pleasant meeting with its director, Terence Max, and part of his management team.
Both parties discussed the development of the tourism industry in their respective countries and the importance given by their governments to the education and training of human resources who provide services in this sector.
They also agreed on the potential for promoting collaborative links in this area.

Victoria, October 25, 2021 - On Monday morning, the Cuban Ambassador to Seychelles paid a courtesy visit to the Minister-designate of the Presidency and Minister of Fisheries, Mr. Jean-François Ferrari. During the meeting, they discussed issues on the bilateral agenda.
Later, the Ambassador was received at the headquarters of the Ministry of Education by executives of that Ministry. The occasion was propitious to discuss the existing cooperation in this field for several decades and other variants that could be developed in the future in the field of education.
