Signed in Nigeria the Contract between the Cuban Medical Services Company (SMC) and the state of Kaduna

NIGERIA, December 28, 2017. With the presence of the lieutenant governor of the state of Kaduna, Bala Barnabas Yusuf and the ambassador of Cuba, Carlos Trejo Sosa, the contract of bilateral collaboration between the Cuban Medical Services Company was signed this morning. (SMC) and the state of Kaduna, territory located north of the federal capital, Abuja.

The document includes, among other interests, mutual exchange in the area of ​​health. Initially, young people will be sent to study medical sciences in Cuban universities, who will be part of the medical institutions of the state of Kaduna when they finish their studies.

The moment was propitious for the Cuban diplomat to provide updated information about the primary health system and the development that Cuban biotechnology has reached internationally, especially the Heberprot-P, a product presented in the country in the month of December.

The Commissioner of Health, Education, Science, Technology and Environment and the Principal Adviser to the Governor of the State of Kaduna were also present on the Nigerian side. On the Cuban side, the Second Secretary of the Embassy was present.

The activity had media coverage through the media NTA, AIT, both with national reach and was attended by three radio stations and two television stations of the state government itself.
