In a fruitful meeting held today, Mrs. NG Boon Yian, director general of International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reiterated to Ambassador of Cuba, H.E Lisbet Quesada Luna, the firm support from Singapore against the ilegal US Blockade.
Both sides exchanged on extensive cooperation and mutual support in the multilateral area, while the Ambassador expressed gratitude for Singapore's support together with the member countries of the G77+China and the NAM, at UNESCO and in Geneva, demanding the exclusion of Cuba from the unilateral list of the US government on countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism, during 2024.
Both parties reviewed issues of interest within multilateral cooperation, and highlighted the importance of continuing to strengthen collaboration ties in different sectors in the bilateral sphere and in multilateral forums.
