Singapore Travel Agents Association (NATAS) participates for first time at FITCUBA

Singapore, May 11, 2026.

Singapore participates for the first time in FITCUBA, represented by travel agencies and executives from the Singapore Travel Agents Association (NATAS), a clear sign of interest in Cuba as a destination in Southeast Asia.

Cuban Tourism Minister Juan Carlos García summarized the virtual meeting via YouTube, expressing his satisfaction with its success. He noted that over a thousand professionals participated, and 120 digital booths from various countries were featured.

He stated that the fair provided a valuable opportunity to connect with tourism industry professionals from around the world interested in Cuba.

The meeting was filled with numerous professional meetings, days of broad participation, presentations, content, and unique experiences.

FITCuba 2026 served as a platform of opportunity and a space for building alliances that transcend borders.

He affirmed that despite threats and unilateral coercive measures from the United States government, the meeting was a resounding success.

In this virtual environment, Cuba reaffirmed its commitment as an authentic, safe, and diverse destination, ready to welcome the world with much to offer and continue building upon.

Holding this fair virtually marks a significant milestone in the modernization of the sector, demonstrating its capacity to adapt to new digital landscapes.

The incorporation of spaces like FITCubaTech highlights the strategic role of technology in tourism development, with innovative solutions created by Cuban talent.

With data-driven management, e-commerce, and artificial intelligence (AI) as fundamental pillars, these initiatives consolidate a promising path toward a more efficient, competitive tourism sector aligned with global trends.

He noted that his commitment and enthusiasm are the greatest guarantee that tourism will continue to be an engine of economic, social, and cultural development.

He confirmed that Cuba awaits them, as always, with open arms, its culture, its unique history, and its warm people.

Cuba participated also for the first time with its own stand at the NATAS Travel Fair celebrate last March in the state island, organized by the Singapore Association of Travel Agents in Singapore.
