Solidarity and love for Cuba marked the gathering held in Geneva between Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez and Cuban residents and friends of the Island in Switzerland.

Today, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla held an emotional gathering with Cuban residents and friends of Cuban solidarity in Switzerland.

During the exchange, the Cuban Foreign Minister thanked the community of Cubans residents in Switzerland and the Switzerland-Cuba Friendship Association for their expressions of support and solidarity towards our country.

Representatives of the solidarity movement briefed the minister about the collection of funds for the purchase of medicines and other medical supplies that will help save lives, which are regularly sent from Switzerland to the Island in the so-called "solidarity suitcases."

The Foreign Minister also thanked the MediCuba-Suisse association for their efforts in ensuring the annual donations sent to public health institutions in various Cuban provinces.

Bruno Rodríguez provided up-to-date insights to the participants on the economic and social situation in Cuba and the effects of the criminal blockade imposed by the United States.

At the gathering, the minister was accompanied by the Cuban ambassador to the United Nations Office at Geneva, Rodolfo Benítez Verson, the Cuban ambassador to Switzerland, Laura Pujol Torres, and other officials from the Foreign Ministry and the Permanent Mission of Cuba in Geneva.
