Sponsored by the Norwegian-Cuban Friendship Association and with the support of other solidarity organizations, a concert in solidarity with the Cuban Revolution was held at the Nordic Black Theatre in Oslo. A group of Norwegian and Latin American artists residing in Norway volunteered their time to delight the audience with their art.
The concert was part of a noble objective embraced by the Norwegian-Cuban Friendship Association: raising funds to purchase solar panels for installation in medical facilities in Cuba.
A short documentary shown at the beginning of the concert highlighted the severe impact on the health sector caused by the economic strangulation measures imposed by the United States government against the Cuban people, revealing the profoundly genocidal nature of these measures.
Likewise, confidence in the recovery of the health sector was evident, which has been recognized by the World Health Organization and the international community, both for its demonstrated ability to offer a high-quality service, to successfully face major challenges such as that imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic and the services provided by its professionals to 165 nations in very varied circumstances, including pandemic emergencies.
