Oslo, March 28, 2022. Last Saturday, March 26th, an activity took place in Kristiansand within the framework of the "UnBlockCuba 2022" campaign, at the initiative of the Friendship Association with Cuba in Norway and a similar organization that operates in the south of the country.
After being introduced by Stein Furuseth, the leader the solidarity work in Kristiansand, Cihan Karakoc, president of the Friendship Association with Cuba in Norway, made a speech in which he provided updated information on the Cuban reality. He availed himself of the opportunity to denounce and condemn the criminal blockade imposed by the United States, as well as the ongoing subversive campaign against Cuba. He reminded everyone that the Cuban people have chosen the path of socialism in exercise of their right to determine their own future, and that must be respected.
An emotional moment was the screening of the documentary "The voice of innocence", made by Syara Salado Massip and Víctor Villalba Gutiérrez, from Resumen Latinoamericano, which shows the way in which Cuba enables girls and boys to reach their full development and all what is done in a national level to ensure the well-being of childrens, as well as the exercise of their rights.
Among the attendees was the leader of the Communist Party of Norway, Runa Evensen. All of them had the chance to get different materials about Cuba, such as books, magazines, pins, among others. Likewise, they had the opportunity to taste exquisite dishes of Cuban food and share their personal stories and their experiences in relation to our country. (Embacuba Noruega)
