Auckland. 19th of June. With the presence of the Cuban Ambassador, the friendship groups with Cuba held a public act and fundraising dinner as part of the international campaign against the blockade and in support of the purchase of syringes to combat COVID 19 on the island.
Organized by the Auckland Cuba Friendship Society, the event took place at the Auckland Trades Hall, with the presence of more than 30 national activists and
union leaders.
Those present received from the Ambassador an update on the situation in Cuba and the US policy towards the Revolution and exchanged extensively on the matter.
The successful fundraiser will continue throughout the month of June and will be part of our friends in New Zealand's contribution to the international solidarity campaign, which has already raised more than $ 400,000 for this purpose.
