Solidarity demonstrations with Venezuela continue in Geneva

Geneva, Switzerland, January 5, 2026.— Solidarity organizations, social movements, and representatives of the Latin American community held a rally in Nations Square to continue denouncing the imperialist aggression of the Government of the United States against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

The solidarity action took place in front of the headquarters of the United Nations and constituted a firm expression of rejection of the recent U.S. military maneuvers, which participants described as a serious threat to regional peace and a violation of the principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.

During the rally, spokespeople from various non-governmental organizations and solidarity platforms denounced the U.S. aggression and the abduction of Venezuela’s constitutional president, Nicolás Maduro Moros, and his wife, Cilia Flores. Among the participating organizations were the International Association for Human Rights and Social Development (AIDHES), the Organized Latin American Community, the Jeunes POP organization, and the Swiss–Cuba Association (ASC).

Those in attendance demanded the immediate return of President Maduro to Venezuela and condemned the imperialist policy of the United States toward Latin America.

Finally, the participants expressed their determination to continue mobilizing in defense of the sovereignty, self-determination, and peace of the Venezuelan people
