Organized by the Piraeus branch of the KKE and the KNE “Traverso” Cultural Center, an event was held in solidarity with the Cuban Revolution and its heroic people. A large audience filled the spacious hall of the Pinacoteca in that municipality, where the friendly and supportive gathering took place.
Speeches were given by Mr. Nikos Karandreas, President of the Hellenic-Cuban Association of Friendship and Solidarity; Ms. Maria Agroganni, Member of the Regional Committee of the Attica Party Organization of the KKE, who participated in the PAME solidarity mission to Cuba last February; and Mr. Lefteris Nikolaou-Alavanos, Member of the International Relations Department of the Central Committee and Member of the European Parliament for the KKE.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Aramís Fuente Hernández, also addressed those present, thanking them for their expressions of solidarity with Cuba and its Revolution. All the speakers addressed the current situation from various perspectives, highlighting the increased threats and aggressions of imperialism against the Cuban people and their tenacious and unwavering resistance.
