Islamabad, April 13, 2022 _ Solidarity, selfless internationalism, progressive thinking and anti-imperialism are key elements for the better future we all desire, agreed Dr. Ammar Ali Jan and Cuban Ambassador Zéner J. Caro, in a wide-ranging exchange of ideas held at the diplomatic mission of the island in this city.
Addressing the various cooperation projects being forged between the two sides, the prominent Pakistani social activist stressed the importance of creating more spaces for debate and action to generate a true anti-imperialist consciousness, especially among young people, who are the main transforming force of society.
For his part, the head of the Cuban diplomatic mission confirmed the willingness to cooperate in the free medical care camps that Dr. Ammar Ali Jan and his collaborators carry out in disadvantaged areas of Punjab, as well as to transmit Cuba's experiences in the area of primary health care.
Dr. Ammar Ali Jan, a renowned Pakistani academic and social activist, leads the Haqooq-e-Khalq movement, a network of progressive and leftist organizations in defense of the rights of the most disadvantaged sectors of society. EMBACUBA PAKISTAN
