The Cuba-Türkiye Friendship Association in İzmir organized a solidarity meeting to commemorate the centenary of the birth of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, historic leader of the Cuban Revolution.
The event was held at the Nâzım Hikmet Cultural Center and was attended by Kemal Okuyan, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Türkiye (TKP), and Alejandro Francisco Díaz Palacios, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Türkiye.
The meeting highlighted Fidel’s revolutionary legacy and his enduring contribution to the struggles for independence, sovereignty, and socialism. Participants also reaffirmed their solidarity with the Cuban people and their commitment to continuing to strengthen support for Cuba in the face of the aggressive policy and blockade imposed by the United States.
The gathering was another expression of the historic bonds of friendship and solidarity that unite the peoples of Cuba and Türkiye.
