Solidarity Movement reaffirms support for Cuba in meeting with diplomats in Grenada

St. George, February, 26 - Cuba's ambassador to Grenada, Yadirys Echenique Paz, and the consul in that country, Ariel Pazos Ortiz, received representatives of the Solidarity Movement with Cuba at the diplomatic residence. The group was led by Dr. Terence Marryshow, a close friend of the Cuban people. The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere and reaffirmed the fraternal ties that have united the two nations for decades.

During the meeting, the representatives of the Solidarity Movement conveyed their support for the Cuban people, who are facing a difficult situation due to the genocidal policies of the United States government. Those present expressed their admiration for how, despite adversity, Cubans maintain their commitment to defending social justice and the dignity of their people.

The friends of Cuba described the Cuban Revolution as a humanitarian endeavor whose example has influenced other Caribbean countries. They emphasized that the revolutionary process serves as a model of resistance and solidarity for the nations of the region.

During the meeting, the Grenadian participants noted that although some governments in Latin America and the Caribbean are currently displaying a submissive and hesitant stance in the face of imperialist threats, the people of Grenada remain firmly on the side of the largest island in the Caribbean.

The visit concluded with the Cuban representatives expressing their gratitude for the support received from their Grenadian friends, who stressed that the solidarity of peoples is a fundamental pillar for confronting the region's current challenges.
