South Africa condemns the US blockade against Cuba at UN

New York, November 1, 2023.- For the thirty-first time, Cuba presents to the UN General Assembly the draft resolution that calls for an end to the cruel and criminal policy of the blockade.

There have been many interventions in support of the Cuban Revolution, both inside and outside the UN, by social forces and actors who increasingly join in denouncing the blockade and unilateral sanctions against our country.

Today, South Africa was one of the countries that raised its voice to defend the just struggle of the Cuban people against the blockade and called for Cuba to be removed from the list of state sponsors of terrorism, a list in which it should never have been.

Tomorrow, November 2, the vote will take place in the UN General Assembly, where once again, the United States will be isolated in the face of the world's claim that Cuba would live better without the blockade.
