From Miami to the world for Martí and against the blockade of Cuba.

Despite the hatred of some, a large international caravan against the blockade of Cuba spread from the U.S. city of Miami to other cities around the world on the occasion of the 171st anniversary of the birth of José Martí.

The day for Cuba, for Martí, against the blockade is taking place with multiple actions in more than 20 cities around the world, said activist Carlos Lazo.

Resounding Support of Cuba at UNGA against US Blockade

Havana, November 1, 2023.- UN member nations strongly condemned the US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba at Wednesday’s plenary session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Representatives of regional blocs like the Association of South Eastern Asian Nations (ASEAN), the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), the Central American Integration System (SICA) and the Group of 77 plus China also rejected the inclusion of Cuba on the US list of states sponsors of terrorism.

South Africa condemns the US blockade against Cuba at UN

New York, November 1, 2023.- For the thirty-first time, Cuba presents to the UN General Assembly the draft resolution that calls for an end to the cruel and criminal policy of the blockade. There have been many interventions in support of the Cuban Revolution, both inside and outside the UN, by social forces and actors who increasingly join in denouncing the blockade and unilateral sanctions against our country.

Cuban Ambassador to Ethiopia holds a press conference on the damage of the blockade on Cuba

Addis Ababa, October 30, 2023.  The Cuban Ambassador to Ethiopia, Jorge Lefebre Nicolás, held a press conference before the country's local media on the effects of the U.S. blockade against Cuba. The Cuban ambassador announced the upcoming presentation on November 1 and 2 of UN General Assembly draft resolution 77/7 entitled "Necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States of America against Cuba".

Vigil in Canada to demand an end to the U.S. blockade against Cuba

Movements in solidarity with Cuba will hold a vigil today in the city of Vancouver to demand the end of the economic, financial and commercial blockade that the United States has maintained for more than 60 years against the island.

In declarations to Prensa Latina, the coordinator of the solidarity project Bridges of Love, Carlos Lazo, said that the initiative is part of others that will take place during this month to advocate for the normalization of relations between the White House and Havana and the cessation of hostilities from the northern country.

Once again the world says Better Without the Blockade

More than 80% of the current Cuban population was born under the effects of the blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba, which is the main cause of the deprivation, suffering and shortages of Cuban families.
This policy is a deliberate act of economic warfare aimed at preventing financial income to the country and causing the economy to collapse. Among its aims is to reduce salaries and provoke discouragement. 
In this sense, the blockade creates conditions that encourage irregular, disorderly and unsafe migration.
