The Department of Literature and Linguistics of the Faculty of Humanities, University of the West Indies - Cave Hill Campus, successfully held a Night of Theater in Spanish under the dramaturgical coordination of the Professor of Hispanic Studies, Dra Rosana Herrero-Martín, under the auspices of the Embassy of Cuba among other national organizations, during which students from different years put on stage in their original language three works of Ibero-American authors: The man who became a dog, of the Argentinean Osvaldo Dragún; Weddings of Blood, of the Spanish Federico García Lorca; and Thin Man, Fat Man, by Cuban Virgilio Piñera. The evening was described as exciting, didactic and at the same time illustrative of the language skills of the students that made up the cast of actors, about which it was widely shared in the cocktail that later closed the cultural night.
