Speaker of the Parliament of Malaysia receives the ambassador of Cuba

Kuala Lumpur, December 24- The President of the Malaysian Parliament, Azhar Azizan Harun received a courtesy call from the Cuban Ambassador to Malaysia, Ibete Fernández Hernández on the occasion of the end of her tour of duty.

At the meeting, the parties advocated maintaining and strengthening parliamentary ties and agreed to qualify the creation of the Parliamentary Friendship Group in 2018 as an achievement. The dialogue also covered the measures that Cuba adopts to control Covid 19 and the need to Malaysia to exchange information with the island on the subject, especially the production of vaccines.

The president of the parliamentary friendship group, Mr Wong Chen, was present at the meeting.
