Vientiane, March 2, 2026. The spokesperson for the Lao PDR Foreign Ministry commented on the recent situation in the Middle East, following the US and Israeli attacks on Iran. The statement was made in the capital of this Asian country.
"The Lao People’s Democratic Republic has been closely following with grave concern over the ongoing violence in the Middle East and risk of further expanding, which has resulted in the massive loss of lives and properties of the people, threatening peace and security in the region and the world at large.
The Lao PDR calls upon all parties concerned to exercise their utmost restraint, cease all acts of violence, and resolve the ongoing conflict by peaceful means in accordance with the principles of the Charter of the United Nations and International Law.
