The newspaper highlights the publication of Cuban foreig minister, Bruno Rodriguez, in the social network X, denouncing the new action of the US president to tighten the economic, commercial and financial blockade of Washington with harmful effects for the Cubans and their development.
Rodriguez wrote that Trump’s presidential memorandum against Cuba reinforces the aggression and economic blockade to punish the Cuban people, the Colombo Times noted.
The memorandum establishes a legal ban on US tourism to Cuba and supports the US economic, commercial and financial blockade, explains the Sri Lankan newspaper.
The measure is contrary to all the requests of the United Nations and other international forums to lift the hostile policy of the United States against the island, clarifies the news media.
