SRI LANKA, December 15, 2019. - The Sri Lankan Association of Graduates in Cuba paid emotional tribute to the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz, on the occasion of the third anniversary of his death. After placing a floral offering to the Commander, Dr. Nirsha Fernando, on behalf of the graduates, highlighted the validity of Fidel's ideas, while thanking him for the opportunity to become professionals and serve their country, as always the Commander in Chief teaches them.
Likewise, the graduates reiterated their rejection of the blockade imposed by the US government against Cuba, as well as the intense and defamatory campaign against the international medical cooperation offered by Cuba, which adds to the threat of sanctions against Cuban leaders and pressures exerted on recipient States to make them dispense with said cooperation.
Also at the activity were present the Ambassador of Cuba, Juana Elena Ramos Rodríguez and the Counselor, Raúl Filgueiras Rivero and relatives of graduates.
