The “EXPOCARIBE 2019” trade fair concluded this weekend in the city of Santiago de Cuba. The event, one of the largest of its kind dedicated to the Caribbean, was held at the Heredia Cultural Complex of Santiago de Cuba City, on June 19 - 22 2019. Saint Lucia was represented by the Honorable Bradley Felix, Minister for Commerce, Industry, Investment, Enterprise Development and Consumer Affairs and the Chief Executive Officer of Export St Lucia (TEPA), Sunita Daniel. The Minister Bradley Felix was received by the Cuban authorities; with whom he exchanged the different options to promote commercial and economic relations between Cuba and St. Lucia. EXPOCARIBE 2019 provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs of the Caribbean region to exhibit and promote their products and services and facilitate exchanges of ideas with counterparts of various sectors of the Cuban and Caribbean economy for the proper identification of commercial opportunities and potential joint businesses to foster economic and commercial complementarity among our countries. On the margins of EXPOCARIBE 2019, a Business Forum of the Association of Caribbean States was held to promote trade, investment and an exchange of ideas among entrepreneurs of the Greater Caribbean. The Organization of Eastern Caribbean States was represented by Jacqueline Emmanuel-Flood, Head of Competitive Business Unit, Economic Affairs and Regional Integration Division.
