STAFF OF THE CUBAN STATE MISSION IN GHANA CELEBRATES VICTORY AT THE UNITED NATIONS

Accra, 29 October. The staff of the Cuban State Mission in the Republic of Ghana, gathered at the premises of the Embassy, celebrated the Cuban people’s victory following the adoption, for the thirty-third consecutive time, of the resolution calling for an end to the blockade at the United Nations.

Despite pressures and overt campaigns undertaken by the Government of the United States, truth and reason once again prevailed by an overwhelming margin.

The 165 votes in favour and 12 abstentions (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Costa Rica, Czechia, Ecuador, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Morocco, Moldova, Romania and Poland) were a source of satisfaction for the Cuban delegation, while the seven votes against—cast by Argentina, the United States, Hungary, Israel, North Macedonia, Paraguay and Ukraine—fell far short of altering the decisive outcome.

Cuba is not alone.
