The state of Cuban medical collaboration in Nevis was reviewed by the Embassy of Cuba and the Ministry of Health

Basseterre, November 24, 2022: As has become the custom lately, the diplomats of the Cuban Embassy in the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis together with the new head of the Cuban Medical Brigade, who traveled to Nevis on a working visit, were warmly welcomed by the Hon. Hazel Brandy-Williams, Minister of Health for this territory, and Shelisa Martin-Clarke, Permanent Secretary for the branch.

The occasion was favorable to present Dr. Odalis Abreu Guirado, recently appointed as the new head of the Cuban Medical Brigade, after Dr. Jorge Ceiro Grimón successfully completed his mission.

During the cordial meeting, other topics of common interest were reviewed, including the possible increase in the number of Cuban collaborators for that region.

Minister Brandy-Williams once again reiterated her gratitude to Cuba, both for the medical assistance it offers and for the contribution in the training of new professionals and specialists.

For his part, Ambassador David Rivero expressed his country's willingness to continue developing and expanding existing bilateral ties.
