St Kitts and Nevis

As every year, the annual meeting took place with representatives of the associations that bring together solidarity with Cuba in Saint Kitts and Nevis, in which the affection, admiration and commitment to the Republic of Cuba was manifested by each of those present.

The main topics of greatest relevance for the period were reviewed and some of the initiatives that are already being worked on were presented.

As has become the custom lately, the diplomats of the Cuban Embassy in the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis together with the new head of the Cuban Medical Brigade, who traveled to Nevis on a working visit, were warmly welcomed by the Hon. Hazel Brandy-Williams, Minister of Health for this territory, and Shelisa Martin-Clarke, Permanent Secretary for the branch.

The new Deputy Prime Minister of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis, the Honorable Dr. Geoffrey Hanley, who also serves as Minister of Education, Youth, Social Development, Gender Affairs, Aging and Disabilities, received in his offices this Friday morning, the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, David Rivero Pérez, who paid him a courtesy visit after his recent appointment.

The Cuban Ambassador to Saint Kitts and Nevis, David Rivero Pérez received Mr. Michael Davis, new President of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of this Federation, and the Executive Member Kevin Taylor; at the diplomatic headquarters, to follow up on trade and cooperation issues that are being worked on.
