The Cuban Medical Brigade in the Maldives requests the United States Government to remove Cuba from the arbitrary list of states that supposedly sponsor terrorism, where it should never have been, and to stop applying the coercive economic measures that accompany this unjust designation. This would be the correct, consistent and honest thing to do.
Cuba is not a country that sponsors terrorism. Cuba has been a victim of terrorism during its more than 60 years of Revolution. Cuba only goes around the world providing solidarity and selfless help. An example of this is the 89 medical brigades sent to 57 countries with 13,498 collaborators, since the creation of the Henry Reeve Contingent, in situations as complex and painful as earthquakes, hurricanes or other natural disasters that occurred in Pakistan, Guatemala, Haiti and others. many countries.
The Cuban Medical Brigade in Maldives joins the claim of our people, our Government and the majority of the International Community that asks the Government of the United States to remove Cuba from this list.
