Statement by Dayron Valido, Representative of Cuba, at the Adoption of the Universal Periodic Review of Mozambique.

Mr. President,

We warmly welcome the delegation of Mozambique. We recognize the country’s active engagement with the Universal Periodic Review.

The Cuban delegation commends Mozambique’s efforts to promote and protect human rights.

We positively note that Mozambique has accepted 284 of the recommendations received.

Furthermore, we are pleased that the three respectful and constructive recommendations made by Cuba have been accepted.

We wish Mozambique every success in implementing the accepted recommendations and support the adoption of the report.
