Statement by the Delegation of Cuba at the Universal Periodic Review of Mozambique.

Mr. President,

We warmly greet the delegation of Mozambique and recognize that country’s commitment to the Universal Periodic Review.

We commend Mozambique for the implementation of Law No. 10/2024, which protects the rights and fundamental freedoms of persons with disabilities.

We also acknowledge national efforts to implement the National Action Plan for Children (PNAC III) 2025–2034.

In a constructive spirit, we recommend:

• Continuing policies to promote inclusive economic growth, in line with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
• Continuing the implementation of the Health Sector Financing Strategy 2025–2034.
• Continuing to guarantee the right to basic education from first to ninth grade.

We wish Mozambique every success in this review and in the implementation of the accepted recommendations.
