Mr. President,
We warmly greet the delegation of Namibia. We recognize that country’s demonstrated commitment to the Universal Periodic Review, which reflects the political will of its government to advance in the field of human rights.
We commend Namibia for the tangible progress achieved in promoting the right to health. We acknowledge the adoption in 2024 of the Universal Health Coverage policy.
In a constructive spirit, we recommend:
Continuing efforts to implement the National Strategy on Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Adolescent Health and Nutrition.
Continuing the implementation of Namibia’s National Development Plan, which focuses on recovery and economic resilience; sustainable development; effective governance; and the delivery of public services.
We wish Namibia every success in this review and in the implementation of the accepted recommendations.
