Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba.

In order to encourage tourism, facilitate the flow of travellers and continue to promote friendly relations and cooperation with the People's Republic of China, it has been decided that Chinese citizens holding ordinary passports who wish to enter, transit, leave or stay in the territory of the Republic of Cuba will no longer require a visa.

Please note that Chinese citizens who wish to remain in the territory of the Republic of Cuba for a period of more than ninety (90) days from the date of entry must apply for the corresponding visa.

Chinese citizens entering the national territory to work, study (including courses organised by official entities of both Parties), reside, carry out news reporting or engage in activities other than those authorised for entry into the national territory, must apply for the corresponding visa before entering Cuban territory.

This facility will undoubtedly contribute to the promotion of exchanges between the peoples of both countries.
