Statement by Second Secretary Aimé Triana, Representative of Cuba, at the Adoption of the Universal Periodic Review of Niger.

Mr. President,

We warmly welcome the delegation of Niger. We recognize the country’s commitment to the Universal Periodic Review.

As a State that had the honor of serving as a member of the UPR troika for Niger, we positively note that the country has accepted 254 of the 265 recommendations received. We appreciate that the three recommendations made by Cuba have been accepted.

We wish Niger every success in implementing the accepted recommendations and support the adoption of its report.
