Oslo, April 9, 2024. In recent days, the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the University of Havana published the following note on its Facebook profile:
"In the month of March, the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the University of Havana received Norwegian professors Hans Jacob Ohldieck, Stephen Walton and Stefanie Reinhardt, along with a group of master's students from the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN) , an institution with which our house of higher studies has established the international cooperation project “Ecological Connections: Cultural Studies in Cuba and Norway” (ECOCON).
As part of this project, a Summer School was organized for Norwegian students in Havana, with the collaboration of professors and specialists associated with our faculty. This Summer School, with a special focus on the interconnections between ecological and cultural topics, took place from March 13 to 26, and included talks, conferences, exchanges of experiences, guided tours of Cuban places and institutions (such as the Museum of Natural History Felipe Poey and the House of the Americas), as well as excursions to places of cultural interest in Havana, Pinar del Río and Matanzas".
