Kingston, 18 February 2020. Thirty students ranging from 10 to12 years old and two teachers from the Ochos Ríos Primary School, located in the parish of Saint Ann, visited the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Jamaica this morning.

They are members of the school's Spanish Club. This visit is part of their language immersion programme and of the pedagogical actions taken by the teaching staff to foster knowledge about the culture of neighboring Spanish-speaking countries.

Members of the Embassy staff attended the visitors and, in a cordial atmosphere, spoke with them about their plans and expectations; the history, life and customs of the inhabitants of Cuba, and the relations of friendship and cooperation existing between the Cuban and Jamaican peoples.

They were also received by Ambassador Inés Fors Fernández, Head of the State Mission of the Republic of Cuba in Jamaica, who in her words of farewell expressed joy over the visit, congratulated them on their discipline and good behavior and urged them to continue expanding their knowledge about Cuba.
