Sultan of Johor Welcomes Cuban Ambassador

Kuala Lumpur, April 28 - The Sultan of Johor state, Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, received in audience at Mersing Palace, the Cuban ambassador to Malaysia, Ibete Fernández.

During the meeting, the parties agreed on the need and importance of identifying possible areas of bilateral cooperation. One particular area mentioned was that of special areas of development, as our country has a newly created area, ZED Mariel.

In this sense, the Sultan showed his willingness to promote the exchange of experiences on the organization and operation of the special area Johor Iskandar that is located in the state and is one of the most efficient in the country.

Johor is the second most populous state in Malaysia and the fifth in territorial extension.
