The Cuban ambassador in Athens, Zelmys María Domínguez Cortina, received at the Embassy a delegation made up of Nadia Valavani, Costa Isichos and Vangelis Gonatas, representing REDH (Network for the Defense of Humanity, Greek Section). The delegation listened to the details provided by the ambassador on the effects of the criminal economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba, the campaigns of lies, the manipulation and distortion of the Cuban reality , organized and financed from the USA, that has spread to the dominant world media. They hide from the media the massive demonstrations that the Cuban people carry out in Havana in defense of the Revolution and use false images about Cuba. At the same time, she stressed, the United States cannot reconcile with the idea of a small socialist country that has triumphed and shows great achievements in public education, education, public and free medical services. She explained the confrontation with the COVID 19 pandemic, the vaccines created and produced in Cuba and the progress of the people's vaccination process. The friends of the REDH reaffirmed their support and pointed out that the definitive end of the illegal network of sanctions against Cuba is the only response that the international community must give, as confirmed by the latest resolution of the General Assembly, denouncing the illegal and complex network of sanctions that the United States has imposed on Cuba for more than 6 decades.
