Symbolic farewell to a Cuban - Ghanaian young man selected for studies of Medicine

As part of the sporting event held in Accra in honor of the 91st birthday of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, the young Cuban - Ghanaian Daniel Yao Roll, who was selected to study Medicine in Cuba by DACCRE, was symbolically farewell by the attendants.

The Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Cuban Embassy, Julio César Sánchez Martínez, emphasized in the brief ceremony, that the young man selected is an example of the people-to-people relationship born with the collaboration program devised by Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro and former President Rawlings. His father, the Dr. Daniel Yao was one of the young Ghanaians who traveled to Cuba in the '80s, and returned trained as professionals, and married to Cuban citizens.

The young Daniel Yao Roll, on receiving the Code of Ethics and the Regulations for Foreign Students, thanked Cuba for the possibility of continuing on the professional path of his family and pledged to make the most of study time to return to Ghana with a solid preparation.

The collective of the Cuban Embassy, Cubans residing in Ghana, members of the Cuban Medical Brigade and representatives of the Trained Ghanaian Graduates Association (ESBECAN) participated in the farewell.
