Havana, 9 March 2026 — Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, posted on his X social media account:
"I held a telephone conversation with the Iranian Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, to exchange views on the latest developments in the region and the consequences of the military aggression of the United States and Israel against Iran.
I expressed condolences for the assassination of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and for the killing of hundreds of Iranian citizens, especially the girls of the Minab primary school.
I reaffirmed the urgency of redoubling international efforts to halt the aggression, urging the Security Council and the United Nations General Assembly to fulfil their responsibilities to restore and maintain international peace and security."
