The Cuba-Türkiye “José Martí” Friendship Association, the Çiğdemim Neighborhood Association and the coordination of Barrio Çiğdem, together with the Cuban Embassy held a discussion on the life and work of Ché as a tribute to another anniversary of his fall in combat.
The occasion was also an opportunity for Yorliet Díaz Suárez, former delegate of the People's Power in the Plaza de la Revolución municipality in Havana, to share her experiences on the community work carried out in Cuba through mass organizations such as the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR), a pillar of the Cuban people's power.
For his part, the Counselor of the Cuban Embassy, Oscar Redondo Ramos, referred to how the effects of the U.S. blockade against Cuba also have a negative impact on the community level by hindering the initiatives of the neighborhoods for their self-development.
The discussion was also attended by the President of the Association of Solidarity with Cuba, Nahide Özkan.
