They reaffirm solidarity with Cuba in Athens.

Athens, May 30. The publishing house Diethnes Vima (International Forum) organized the presentation of the Greek version of the book: “Our history is still being written. The story of three Chinese Cuban generals in the Cuban revolution" By Armando Choy, Gustavo Chui and Moises Sio Wong. The book has also been published in Spanish, English, Farsi, French, Chinese and now in Greek.
The book is of great importance today. Through the stories of the 3 it is possible to appreciate how were developed the social and political forces that have created and sustained 62 years of the Cuban revolution. You see how millions of ordinary men and women changed the course of history, becoming different human beings in the process. That is why the phrase that they say in the book is essential: “What was the most important measure to eradicate discrimination against Chinese and blacks in Cuba? It was the socialist revolution itself ”.
The event was led by Natasa Terlexi, Senior Editor of Diethness Vima. The speakers were: Zelmys María Domínguez Cortina, ambassador of Cuba; Nasos Pavlakis, former head of Halivourgia and co-author of the book 273+ Days, The Historic Halivourgon Struggle, which was the longest metalworkers' strike in Greece; Vasilis Revelas, publisher Diethnes Vima, worker in the information technology industry. The event was also greeted by Yannis Tsalavoutas from the José-Martí Cultural Association - Solidarity with Cuba; Haig Apamian, President of Popular Solidarity, Konstadina Kaklamanaki on behalf of the translators of the book and Nikos Karandreas, Honorary Professor of Medicine at the University of Athens. The meeting concluded with a musical program by the Cuban musician and singer Remy Mailan.
Numerous books published by the publishing house on Cuba were sold, including speeches by Fidel, Che, History will absolve me, the war in Angola, among others.
Also the Jose Martí Cultural Association of solidarity with Cuba had its table with its publications, collecting signatures against the blockade to Cuba and with its poster condemning the blockade.
In the fraternal meeting was reaffirmed the solidarity with Cuba, the legacy of the Cuban revolution, and the criminal economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba was condemned. It was shown as the “revolution of the humble, by the humble and for the humble” was able to integrate all Cubans without distinction in a participatory, anti-discriminatory and inclusive socialist project that gave them their true dignity and that they have been able to develop and defend.
