Mr. President,
We welcome the delegation of Côte d'Ivoire. We acknowledge the commitment of that nation to the Universal Periodic Review and to the promotion and protection of human rights.
We highlight Côte d'Ivoire’s firm determination to continue advancing in the refinement of its regulatory framework to strengthen national institutions and the Rule of Law.
We are pleased that Côte d'Ivoire has accepted the three recommendations made by Cuba, and that it can continue to make progress in implementing actions to ensure access to a high-quality judicial system, schooling of children, and to address food insecurity.
We positively acknowledge that it has accepted 226 out of the 273 recommendations received, which demonstrates the political will to continue to make progress in the field of human rights.
We wish Côte d'Ivoire every success in implementing the accepted recommendations and express our support for the adoption of the report.
