Oslo, October 16, 2022. A delegation from the National Unions of Public Administration Workers (SNTAP) and Communications, Information Technology and Electronics Workers (SNTCIE) of Cuba, led by their respective general secretaries, Yaisel Osvaldo Pieter Terry and Erlín Rondón Cedeño, arrived in Norway this weekend.
After being received at the airport by Hans Kristian Stenesto, international advisor to the Norwegian Union of Municipal and General Employees (Fagforbundet), the delegation held a meeting with the ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, who welcomed them.
During their stay in Norway, the Cuban trade unionists will participate as guests in the 5th Fagforbundet Congress, which will take place from October 17 to 21, at the Oslo Congress Center.
Fagforbundet has a membership of 395,000 and is affiliated with the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions LO. As part of its international work, it maintains friendly and cooperative relations with SNTAP and SNTCIE. (Embassy of Cuba in Norway)
