During the protest, the trade union representatives denounced the aggressions of the United States and acknowledged the resistance of the Cuban people in the face of decades of embargoes, blockades, and economic attacks, which have sought to subdue the nation and have generated nothing but poverty, oppression, and hardships for the population.
The union members emphasized the importance of strengthening solidarity and the common struggle against all imperialist aggressions that threaten the sovereignty and the will of peoples.
The event reaffirmed the commitment of the participating unions to self-determination and the rights of all nations in the face of foreign intervention, and reiterated the need for international unity to defend peoples against any form of economic, political, or military aggression.
